Fricke, Melva Lt. (22 Jul. 1944)

SERVES WITH THE ARMY A private nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital here from 1937 to 1942, Lt. Melva Fricke is now a member of the Army Nursing Corps., having been commissioned at San Luis Obispo, Calif. on Aug 10, 1942. She is now visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Fricke, Loyal. Lt. Fricke, a graduate of Loyal High School, received her nurses training at St. Joseph's Hospital in Ashland and after serving here went to Desert Sanitarium at Tucson, Ariz. She has a 19-day leave and en route to California will visit her brother, Tech. Sgt. Oscar Fricke, at Camp Barkeley, Texas.
