Miller, Henry W. (19 Oct. 1885 - 6 Apr. 1950)

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 P.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Riplinger, for Henry W. Miller, 64, who passed away at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield last week. Rev. T. Pagel officiated at the services with burial in St. John’s cemetery in the Town of Unity.

Mr. Miller was born October 19, 1885 in the Town of Unity. He received his education in the Unity schools and lived in Unity until 1942 when he moved to Riplinger. He married Nada Wittlinger on November 5, 1914 at Loyal. She survives him.

Other survivors include a son, Merlin, Unity; a sister, Mrs. Marie Helmke, Stratford and two brothers, Wm. and George, both of Unity, and one grandchild. A brother preceded him in death.

Pallbearers were George Miller, Jr., August Helmke, Donald Songstad, Vern Wittlinger, Melvin Ayer, and Wm. Helmke.

In charge of flowers were Mrs. Wm. Wittlinger, Pearl Wittlinger, Mrs. George Miller Jr., Mrs. August Helmke, Mrs. Wm. Helmke, and Mrs. Donald Songstad.

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Domer sang "Thou Will Be Near" and "Beyond the Sunset" accompanied by Mrs. Henry Kuesel.

Out of town people who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Don Songstad, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Songstad, Charles Songstad, Pearl Wittlinger, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. George Bauer, Mrs. Clarence Keller, Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wittlinger, Amery, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. George Lapp, Mrs. Harvey Blue of Dale; Mrs. Chris Fahley of New London; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rodgers of Mantitowoc; Mrs. Marie Helmke, Mr. and Mrs. August Helmke and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Sandgren, Stratford; Mr. and Mrs. Havey Whitlinger, Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Whitlinger, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Clouse and son James, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Alden Hardrath and Mrs. Julius Lange and sons, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Becker and son, Mr. and Mrs. George Miller, Wm. Miller, and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Domer, of Unity; Mr. and Mrs. David Vanderhoof, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Ayer, Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
