Lieske, Edward G. (21 JUN 1896 - 28 FEB 1939)

Edward Gustav Lieske was born June 21, 1896, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Lieske. His boyhood was spent in Dodge County. He came to Clark County in November, 1912, and lived in Loyal Township until passing away following a short illness. He suffered a stroke last Saturday. Pneumonia followed causing death which occurred at 2:30 P. M. Tuesday, Feb. 28.

Surviving are his father, two sisters, Mrs. (Bertha) Frank Stange and Edna, two brothers, Herman and Arthur, three nephews, a niece, other relatives and friends. His mother preceded him in death, having passed away July 5, 1932.

Funeral services were held at the home Friday at 1:30 P. M. and in the Trinity Lutheran Church here at 2 P. M. Special music consisted of a duet. Burial took place in the Loyal Cemetery. Pall Bearers were Aug. Ehlert, Geo. Hause, Ernest Hinklemann, Art Mandel, Max Neitzel, and David Smith.

Rev. J. C. Langholz, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Church, officiated at the funeral service.
