Follien, Minnie (3 JUN 1933)

A quiet wedding was solemnized at St. Mary’s Church, Stanley, Saturday morning, June 3rd, 1933, at seven o’clock, when Miss Minnie, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Follien of Stanley, became the bride of Lenard, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Wilhelm of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). Rev. M. P. O’Connor performed the ceremony.

The bride was attired in a gown of white flowered organdy, with white hat and shoes. She wore a corsage bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley. Miss Rachel Wilhelm, sister of the groom was bridesmaid, wearing a gown of blue silk with a bouquet of roses and forget-me-nots.

The groom was attended by his brother Eugene. Large baskets of bridal wreath formed the decoration at the church. On Sunday a wedding dance was served at the home of the groom’s parents for the immediate families of the contracting parties.

The bride is a graduate of the Stanley High School with the class of 1924, since which time she has been teaching in the schools of the county. The groom is a prosperous farmer, and the newlyweds will make their home on a farm just west of Thorp. Both Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm have a host of friends who wish them every happiness.
