Neumann, Elda (Karnopp) (06 May 1912 - 10 Apr 2007)

Elda Neumann, 94, Spencer, died Tuesday, April 10th 2007, at the Marshfield Center, Marshfield.

Funeral serviced were held April 14th at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Spencer. The Reverend Rebekah Tarras presided. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dan and Wayne Delo, Randy and Milton Pachal, Dale Raatz and Dale Neumann.

Elda was born May 6th, 1912 to Louis and Emma (Becker) Karnopp in the Town of Beaver. She attended Oak Grove School.

On September 4th, 1935 Elda married Maynard Neumann at S. John’s Lutheran Church. She was a farm wife and homemaker living and working on the farm until retirement, and moving to Spencer in 1967.

Elda enjoyed working on counted cross stitch pictures as well as sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, baking, playing cards and watching the Brewers.

She was also a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid and the Dorcas Circle.

Elda is survived by two daughters, Shirley Johnson, Zion IL and Mabel (Robert) Lehnherr, Marshfield; one son Royal, (Susie) Neumann, Phillips; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one sister, Esther Parchel, Neillsville, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Maynard; two brothers, Clarence and Wilbert Karnopp, and two sisters, Linda Delo and Alice Raatz.
