Larson, Ruth (Bayliss) (25 Jul 1921 - 15 Apr 2007)

Ruth Larson, 85, Abbotsford, formerly of Medford, died Sunday, April 15th, 2007 at the Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford, where she resided for the past three years.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday, April 18th, at the Hemmer Funeral Home, Medford.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, at Hemer Funereal Home, Medford. Pastor David McBride will preside. Burial will be in the Medford Evergreen II Cemetery, Medford.

Pallbearers will be her sons Harlyn, David and Daniel with grandsons Brian and Craig Larson and John Sterzinger.

Ruth was born July 25th 1921, in Milwaukee and attended Milwaukee Area Schools.

On June 16th, 1945, she married Walter Larson. Walter preceded Ruth in death on February 17th, 1997.

After their marriage, they owned and operated a small dairy farm in the Dorchester area until 1973 when they moved to the City of Medford. Ruth also worked at Weather Shield as an assembly worker until her retirement in 1987.

Ruth enjoyed cooking and was a member of United Church of Christ, Medford.

She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Ann (Taylor) Sterzinger, Colby; three sons, Harlyn (Linda) Milwaukee, David, Beaver Dam and Daniel (Sharon), South Milwaukee; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by one sister, Florence; her father, John Bayliss and her mother, Alma Gaulitz.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made in her name to the United Church of Christ, 510 East Broadway, Medford, WI 54451.
