Schultz, Leonard A. (1910 - 1990)


Leonard A. Schultz, 80, Route 3, Neillsville, died Tuesday, June 26, 1990, at his home. Funeral services were held Friday, June 29, 1990, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Neillsville. Father Roman Kaiser, of St. Anthony's Catholic Parish, Loyal, officiated the service. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Neillsville. Grandchildren Joe Schultz, Jason Schultz, Jon Schultz, Jim Ingold, Julie Ingold, Wendy Ingold and Joey Schultz served as pallbearers.


Leonard Schultz was born June 16, 1910, in the town of Grant, Clark County, to Albert and Mary Ellen (West) Schultz. He received his education there. After his education he farmed with his parents and did other work in the Granton area. He later worked in Chicago for a few years. He married Ruby Marth on June 10, 1941, in Neillsville. After his marriage they farmed in the town of Pine Valley for many years until retiring in 1977. He continued to work on the farm with his son for many years after his retirement.


He is survived by his wife, two sons, Clemens, Brighton, Mich. Marcus, Neillsville two daughters, Mrs. Roger (Mary Ann) Ingold Jr., Neillsville Lorene Schultz, Madison and eight grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.


Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of the arrangements.

Schultz, Leonard A. (June 16, 1910 - June 26, 1990)

 

Funeral rites for Leonard A. Schultz, 80, Route 3, Neillsville, were at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 29, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville, Wis. Mr. Schultz died unexpectedly at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at his home.

 

The Rev. Roman F. Kaiser of St. Anthony's Parish of Loyal conducted the service, for which music was furnished by St. Mary's Catholic Church Choir and organist Mary Kay Ellner. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers, all grandchildren, were Joe, Jason, Jon, and Joey Schultz, and Jim, Julie and Wendy Ingold.

 

A general rosary service and Knights of Columbus rosary service were held Thursday evening at Gesche Funeral Home, Inc.

He was a member of ST. Mary's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council # 4963 and Catholic Knights.

 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Clemens J. Schultz, Brighton, MI, Marcus A. Schultz and Mrs. Roger (Mary Ann) Ingold, Jr., both of Neillsville, and Lorene J. Schultz, Madison; and eight grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, a brother and three sisters.
