John W. Vogel Dead

J. W. Vogel, owner of the drug store in this village about ten years ago, died at his home in Minneapolis, Saturday, Feb. 1st, at the age of 71, after several months’ illness. The funeral services were held at the Earl Funeral Home in Minneapolis Sunday afternoon, and the remains were taken to Emmetsburg, Iowa, for interment. Burial was under Masonic rites Monday afternoon, in the family lot beside his wife who died several years ago. Mr. Vogel is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Harper, of Eau Claire, and Miss Vivian, of Minneapolis; and one grandson, Richard Harper, of Eau Claire.

For the past ten years Mr. Vogel and his daughter conducted the Vogel Pharmacy at 4255 South Bryane Ave., in Minneapolis. Previous to that time he and his wife resided for several years in this village. He was a member of the Humbird Masonic Lodge.
