Ruth Safemaster Sends Letter to Unity Friends

Dear Unity Friends: It is always a treat to get news about you from the Unity Register. I am grateful to the editor for sending this little paper to me. Each time it comes I feel that I should write but other duties crowd out the good intention, and too often nothing gets into the post from my end. I have unanswered letters from many of you: Mrs. Clark, Walter Wielands, Roy Justmans, Mrs. Sam Stark and relatives. We were without mail for months and when we had almost given up waiting we had a shower of it. I received sixty-two letters in that one post. There wasn’t much sleeping done that night. It is always a joy to receive your cheery messages with the touch of home. It is nine years since I saw you last but I shall always think of Unity as home. Often I think of our church without a resident pastor. From Chicago a letter came telling of how you might have had Rev. Olander if you had called him. How fine that would have been. I am glad to hear how well societies keep working. The list of names of you who were present at the W.M.S. Nov. 18 came through. May God bless ***The rest of the article is cut off, and unavailable at the time of transcription.***
