Kaufmann, Barbara (5 Dec. 1857 - 1 Feb. 1934)

One of the old settlers of Fairview vicinity, Mrs. Barbara Kaufmann, died at the hospital at Reedsburg, Feb. 1st, at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 26 days. Mrs. Kaufmann was a native of Germany, born Dec. 5, 1857. Her early life was spent in that country, and after coming to America located on the farm in Cleveland. Her husband passed away many years ago. For the past seventeen years she has been an invalid at the hospital.

The remains were taken to the home of her daughter at Fairview last Saturday, and burial services were held at St. Joseph’s Church Monday forenoon.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Alfred Boullion of Fairview, Mrs. Jos. Michels of Eau Claire, Mrs. Carl Abrahamson of Camp Douglas; two sons, Joseph on the home farm, Frank, of Jamestown, N. D.; and a sister, Mrs. Frank Podruch of Elroy.

Relatives from away attending the burial were; Frank Kauffmann, Jamestown, N. D.; Jos. Michels and family, Gerald Boullion and family, Eau Claire; Frank Podruch and wife, Elroy; Carl Abrahamson wife and sons, Camp Douglas.
