Benish, Mathilda "Tillie" (1896? - 1939)

Funeral services for Miss Mathilda Benish, who died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Wm. Lubinski, in Fairchild, last Saturday, were held from the home and at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Fairview Monday forenoon at 8:30, Rev. J. J. Sheridan officiated.

The remains were taken to Eau Claire for burial in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, where her father and mother, and brother Joseph, are buried.

Miss Benish was a lifelong resident on the home farm west of this village, but made her home with her sister in Fairchild when ill health came. She was in her 43rd year.

Besides many friends who are mourning her death, are her brothers, Frank and John, who reside on the home farm; and four sisters, Sister M. Emily, of La Crosse, Mrs. Elma Sieger, of Kansas City, Mrs. Mary Babler, of Madison, and Mrs. Ella Lubinski, of Fairchild.
