Schlegel, Rosa Maria (20 Feb. 1902 - 6 March 1939)

Rosa Maria Graner, born Feb. 20, 1902, in Magerkingen, Wurtemberg, Germany, was called to her Eternal Home March 6, 1939, at the age of 37 years and 14 days. She was the third daughter of Adam Graner and Judith nee Lampartner. She immigrated to this country with her brother in the year of 1924, and was united in holy wedlock with Ernest Schlegel, January 9, 1929. Three children were born to this union, Sophie Judith, George Adam and Margaret Rose.

She was a loving, conscientious wife and mother at all times, and a faithful member of the Lutheran church since early childhood.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, her three children, three step-children, Raymond, Harold and Evelyn; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Schuler, Mrs. Martha Huetter, Mrs. Ida Rukwid, and Mrs. Maria Genkinger; three brother, William Graner, resided in this country, besides a number of relatives abroad and a host of friends and neighbors here.

The funeral services were held at the Grace Lutheran Church of Alma Center, with the Rev. E. Klemp conducting the service. Interment was made in the family lot in the Houghtonburg Cemetery.

The relatives from away who attended the funeral were: Wm. Graner, of Menasha; Christ Schlegel, of La Crosse; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schlegel, of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Watson, of Port Edwards; Mr. and Mrs. August Schlegel, of Eau Claire; Mrs. Karoline King; of Altoona, and Miss Lydia Schlegel, of Media, Penn. - Banner-Journal.
