(The micro-film copy of this obituary had a problem in that some of the letters on the left side of the document were cut off, so this transcription contains some paraphrases and ? where it was unreadable)

It was with sadness that Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) folks learned of the death of Mrs. Henry Glenzer, who passed away at her home in the village last Thursday morning, March 31st, 1932. She had been ailing for some time and her strength slowly ebbed away until she departed her loved ones to be with her Father.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the home and at 2:30 from the Salem Evangelical Church with Rev. Lester Thiel officiating. Burial took place at Memorial Cemetery with her grandsons, Ben and Russell Way, Ray Flood, and Graydon Schultz, Ernest and ? Boss, and Vilas Verhulst acting as pallbearers. Six of her granddaughters, Misses Marcella Way, ? Verhulst, Ethel Lenore and ? Schultz, and carol Flood, acted as flower girls.

Miss Fredericka Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Schmidt, was born Sept. 2, 1855, in Sheboygan County and was 76 years, 6 months and 29 days old at time of death. Her school days were spent at home until June 1st, 1875, when she was united in marriage to Charles Leitzow of Winnebago Co. The Leitzows made their home on his Winnebago County farm until 1890, when Mr. Leitzow passed away. Seven children blessed this marriage. After Mr. Leitzow’s death, Mrs. Leitzow and her family moved to Dorchester, where she had since resided. On June 4, 1892, she was united in marriage to Henry Glenzer of Green Grove (Clark Co.). This marriage was blessed with four children, Adeline, Edna, Richard and Henry.

The sweet, lovable woman, who character emanated her simple trust in Christ, she was greatly loved by all who knew her. As a wife and mother, only her family knew of the many loving deeds she performed. As a friends and neighbor, everyone who knew her can only remember, the kind, hospitable and gentle friendship she offered to all. Mrs. Glenzer was a faithful charter member of the Little White Church and also a loyal member of the Sunday School. Although she is gone, her spirit shall live on in the hearts and memories of her many loved ones, who will greatly miss her.

Mrs. Glenzer leaves her husband and the following children to mourn loss: Mrs. John Verhulst, Dorchester, Mrs. Frank Way, Medford, Mrs. G.N. ?oltz, Ripon, Mrs. Ed Flood, Stevens Point, August Leitzow, Ashland, Ed Leitzow, Town of Mayville, Henry Glenzer Jr., Stevens Point, Mrs. Edna ?, Town of Holton. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. F. F. Wickman, Oshkosh, and one brother, G.F. Schmidt, this village, 33 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Three children preceded her in death: Miss Minnie and Adeline and Richard Glenzer. Besides her immediate family she leaves a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her departure.
