Red & White Store Bought by Henry Laffe

The Red & White store in this village was sold by Hart & Son last Friday forenoon to Henry E. Laffe. The transfer included the store building and fixtures, and all stock. The association with the Red & White Corporation is included in the transaction. Mr. Laffe took possession immediately upon the signing of the transfer papers. At the present time Vern Hart is remaining in the store with the ne proprietor. Mr. Laffe was owner of the store on a former occasion, reselling it to Harts after their residence in the west.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Hart will probably make their home permanently in their residence in this village. The plans of their son, R. A. Hart, are unsettled for a short time. Several openings are in view, and it is rumored that he and his wife will locate elsewhere, engaging in the same mercantile lines.

This store under the former ownership became one of the popular trading places in this section, and there is no doubt that it will continue so with Henry Laffe as proprietor. An "opening sale" is scheduled for a week from Saturday.
