Ringquist, Eleanor (Marriage - 1 May 1946)

A double-ring ceremony was held on May 1 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford, during which Eleanor Johnson, Abbotsford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Ringquist, Unity, and Frank Budde, Colby, were married. The Rev. Francis J. Brockman officiated at the wedding rites and the Nuptial High Mass.

Attendants were Miss Johanna Budde, Colby, sister of the groom. and Pvt. Lloyd Ringquist, Camp McCoy, brother of the bride.

The bride wore a two-tone blue ? crepe dress featuring an embroidered bolero, a navy blue straw ? hat, and blue accessories. Pale pink carnations formed her shoulder corsage.

The maid of honor wore a navy blue alpaca dress with navy hat and pink roses. Her corsage also was formed of pink carnations.

The wedding group and members of the immediate family were served dinner at the Abby Café.

Those attending besides the wedding party were the bride’s son, Raymond Johnson, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Gust Ringquist, Unity; and Mr. and Mrs. Louis M. Beyerl and Mr. and Mrs. Earl W. Budde, Colby.

Guests attending the reception at the home of the bride’s parents at Unity were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ringquist and daughter of Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schwantes, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Winkler and son, Mr. and Mrs. George Jeske and son, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Winkler and children, Mr. and Mrs. William Williamson, Mr. and Mrs. John Winkler, and Roland and Lester Safemaster, all of Unity; Mrs. Clarence Buetsch and children, Spencer; and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leisinger, Colby.

The newlyweds will make their home on the groom’s farm west of Colby.
