Fierke, Della (10 SEP 1931)

A pretty wedding was solemnized last Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock when Miss Della Fierke, the daughter of Mrs. L. Fierke, was united in marriage to Leslie Bopf, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hy Bopf of Wausau. The ceremony was held on the lawn with Rev. J. Brandt officiating and Miss Minette Fierke and Lloyd Sookup acting as attendants.

The bride wore a beautiful navy blue satin gown with floor length skirt and the bridesmaid wore a long, light blue satin gown. The men were dressed in the conventional dark suits.

After the ceremony a lovely wedding dinner was served to the bridal party, immediate family and a few relatives. A wedding dance in honor of the marriage was given that evening in the Eagle’s Ballroom at Wausau with a host of friends and relatives in attendance. The following day the happy couple left for a 2 week honeymoon to Milwaukee, Chicago and Minneapolis. The newlyweds will make their home at Wausau where Mr. Bopf is the proprietor of a store.

The bride is well known and well liked here (Dorchester, Clark Co., Wis.), having graduated from the local high school. She finished a four year course at Northland College, Ashland, last year. Those who know Della are certain that her choice of a life partner is an excellent one and join the Clarion in wishing them many years of success and happiness together.

Those attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harder and family of Stetsonville, Mr. and Mrs. Hy Bopf, and Mr. and Mrs. Lech, Wausau. The young couple will be at home about the 1st of October.
