Keuer, Arline (Marriage - 14 June 1941)

Beautifully attired in a white satin gown, styled with a high neckline, long sleeves and fitted waist, and a shoulder length veil, Miss Arline Keuer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Keuer of the town of Lynn, was united in marriage to Jerry Zalabsky of Pittsville, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Zalabsky of Milladore. The bride carried a beautiful bouquet of white carnations, baby breath and ferns. She wore a wreath of orange blossoms and a gold locket, which is a gift from the groom.

The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Edna Keuer, who wore a gown of light blue silk and a boutonniere. His brother, Adolph Zalabsky, Milladore, was the best man. The ceremony was performed at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Lutheran parsonage in Pittsville, the Rev. Lloyd Goetz, performing the rites.

Following the ceremony, dinner was served to the wedding party, and about 35 guests at the Ernest Keuer home, where the dinning room was decorated in blue and white streamers, a white wedding bell and lovely cut flowers. A large wedding cake served as the table centerpiece.

The bride was confirmed in the American Lutheran Church, Granton. She was graduated from the Granton High School in 1939 and from the Eau Claire School of Cosmetic Arts in 1940. Since then she has been employed in Mr. Zalabsky’s beauty shop at Pittsville, whore the couple will carry on the business together. The groom attended the Milladore High School and a school of cosmetic arts at Milwaukee.

Out of town guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. William Gamache, Oshkosh; John Zalabsky and daughter, Mary, and sons, Jack, Emil and Adolph, Milladore; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brick and son, Joseph, Brillion; Misses Anna Fay Barr and Bernice Fredrickson, Greenwood, and Mrs. Neil Bolster, and Albert Zimmerman, Pittsville.
