Lawrence L. Larson

Lawrence L. Larson, age 66, formerly of Spencer, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007. He was residing in Aniwa, at the home of his stepdaughter.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2007, at the Hansen Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark Krueger will officiate. Interment will be at a later date at McMillan Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Larson was born Jan. 26, 1941, in the town of Pine Valley, the son of Perry and Lorena (Wagner) Larson. He attended Owen-Withee schools.

On July 23, 1988, Lawrence was united in marriage to the former Nancy L. Mauritz, at the Community Bible Church in Stratford. She preceded Lawrence in death on May 3, 2001.

Mr. Larson was self-employed as a concrete finisher. He later worked at Beatrice Cheese, Marshfield, and also drove school bus for Marshfield Bus Service. He retired from Marathon Cheese Corp. because of ill health in 2000.

Larry enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and spending time in his garden.

He is lovingly survived by his stepdaughter, Sarah (Shawn) Young, Aniwa, and stepson Charles H. Mundt, Portage; and seven grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers, Steven (Bonnie) Larson, Medford, Chester (Roxanne) Larson, Canyon, Minn., Arlyn "Butch" (Carol) Larson, Toivola, Minn., Kenneth (Pauline) Larson, Stratford; and sisters, Ole (Robert) Anderson, Tomahawk, and Carrie Larson, Wausau.

Two sisters, Deborah and Arla Larson, precede him in death.
