On Saturday, Aug. 19, 1944 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, Miss Sophie D. Kowalski, daughter of Paul Kowalske of Medford became the bride of John Kohlnhofer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Kohlnhofer of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), at 8:00 a.m. Mass celebrated by Rev. Gregory J. Rueter.

The bride wore a two-piece street length dress of blue transparent velvet and a corsage of roses and sweet peas. She also wore a gold cross necklace which was the gift of the groom and carried a prayer book.

Miss Angeline Querin, nice of the bride, as bridesmaid, wore a two piece street length dress of wine velvet and a corsage of sweet peas and roses.

The groom was attended by his brother Victor Kohlnhofer.

Dinner and supper were served to about 35 relatives and friends at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. Gerald Jehoick of Dorchester, and in the evening a wedding dance was given at Bacon’s Hall, Medford.

The bride was employed the past two months at the Owen Canning Factory and the groom has been working for his uncle on a farm east of here.

The Gleaner joins their many friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for many years of happy married life.
