Kolb, Louis H. (28 JUL 1862 - 29 SEP 1932)

The deceased, Louis Hugo Kolb, was born on July 28t, 1862 in Meme, Manitowoc, Co., Wis. He spent his youth with his parents and attended the public schools of the neighborhood. On Sept. 14, 1886 he was married to Anna Holzhausen of Sheboygan, Wis. This union was blessed with one daughter, Thekla Anna. In 1889 he came to Thorp, Clark Co., Wis., where he resided until his death. He was devoted to his loved ones and by his cheerful disposition he won for himself many friends. About one year ago his health commenced to fail him and although the best medical attention was tendered to him the time for his departure came when he was called to his eternal rest on Thursday, Sept. 29th, 1932. He reached the age of 70 years, 2 months and 1 day. He is survived by his helpmate, Anna Kolb, one daughter, Mrs. William H. Knierim, of Indianapolis, Ind., four grandchildren, six brothers and five sisters, besides a host of relatives and friends who mourn over his departure. We pay him the tribute of esteem and we await in faith and hope and patience the meeting again in the rest and peace of God.
