Buchsteiner, Mr./Mrs. William (Silver Anniv. - 24 Nov. 1940)

Mr. and Mrs. William Buchsteiner were married at Reedsburg, Wis., November 24, 1915. Last Sunday the 25th anniversary of that event was celebrated at the Buschsteiner home at 144 Prospect Street, in this city. With them for the day were their three children and Mrs. Buchsteiner’s six sisters. The children are William, Jr., Reedsburg; Mrs. Orland Boyce, Marshfield, and Lorraine, at home.

Mrs. Elmer Haglund, Mrs. Caesar Schenkat, Mrs. Clarence Roloff, Mrs. Douglas Ormond and Mrs. Gerhardt Schroeder are the sisters.

Relatives and friends present besides the children were: Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Haglund and two children, Avis and Allen, St. Paul; and Mrs. Caesar Schenkart, North Freedom, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Roloff and children, Helen, Virginia, Jean and Jimmie, Reedsburg; Mrs. Douglas Ormond and Geneva; town of Weston; Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt Schroeder and two children, Neillsville; Gethyn Camp, Reedsburg, Clifford Anton and Tony Svetlike, Neillsville, Wis.

After their marriage, the couple lived at Reedsburg for four and one-half years, coming to Clark County in 1919, where they farmed until March 21st, when they moved to Neillsville, Wis. A year later, again on the 21st day of March, they purchased the W. H. Allen home on the north side.

The day was a particularly happy one since it brought into the Buchsteiner home many of their closet kin. The group presented them with a beautiful mix master.
