Corson, Edith (Marriage - 19 Oct. 1940)

Corson - Gould

The marriage of Miss Edith Corson of Oak Terrace, Minn., and Bombardier Harry Christopher, Royal Canadian Artillery, of Vancouver, was solemnized, Saturday, October 19, at Winnipeg, Manitoba. The ceremony was performed at the Marborough hotel by Captain R. L. Taylor, chaplain, 100th military district. Dr. Catherine Corson West was her sister’s matron of honor and Donaid Beach West was the best man.

A dinner was given at the hotel following the ceremony for the wedding party and a few guests. The couple will be at home at Stevston, British Columbia, after December 1.

Miss Corson, who has visited often in Neillsville, went by plane from Minneapolis to Winnipeg to meet the groom, who came from his post near Vancouver. She was accompanied by her sister, Mrs. William L. Smith, and they were joined Friday night by Mr. Smith and Mr. and Mrs. West, who drove from Minneapolis. Mr. and Mrs. Smith returned to Minneapolis with the Wests on Sunday.
