Clyde Peissig

Clyde Peissig, 71, Wausau, died Friday, Dec 22, 2006, at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

The funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec 27, 2006 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. The Rev. Steve Kropp will preside, assisted by Deacon Bob Anderson. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery, Colby.

Clyde was born May 1, 1935, to the late Franklin and Frances (Gayken) Peissig in Curtiss, Wis.

He married Beverly Grammer on Dec 28, 1954 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby.

Clyde served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 until retirement in 1975 as a Sr. Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Air Force, he and his family returned to his home town of Curtiss where he worked at Bowen Hardware.

He graduated from NTC in Wausau with an Associate Degree in computer programming.

Clyde and his wife later moved to Wausau. He enjoyed the outdoors and particularly enjoyed hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly; children Michael (Jan) Peissig, Missoula, MT, Jacqueline (Craig) Flets, Appleton, Pamela Laski, Haugen and Dana (Anna) Peissig, Allen, TX; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one brother Claude (Kathy) Peissig, Curtiss, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his brother Clayton.
