Zupanc, Mary (27 MAR 1914 - 7 APR 1948)

Loyal (Clark Co. Wis.) - A Requiem High Mass was read Saturday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, for Mrs. Anthony Zupanc, 34, Loyal, who died at Rochester, Minn., April 7, 1948. The Rev. Aloysz Zinthefer officiated at the rites and burial was made in Holy Family Cemetery, Willard.

Pallbearers were Rudolf Singer, Nick Babich, Casper Shober, Mike and August Podobnik, and Joseph Zupanc.

Mrs. Zupanc, the former Mary Parkel, was born in Mulberry, Mo., March 27, 1914, received her education in Greenwood Schools and at a business college in La Crosse, and was married in June 1946, at Milwaukee to Anthony Zupanc. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parkel, Willard.

Before her marriage two years ago she was a cashier at Allis Chalmers in Milwaukee. Surviving besides her parents and husband are a 14-month-old son, Thomas; a brother, Frank Parkel, Willard; and five sisters, Mrs. August (Theresa) Podobnik and Mrs. Nick (Ann) Babich, Greenwood, and Misses Helen and Millie Parkel, and Mrs. Donna Singer, West Allis. An infant brother preceded her in death.

Out of town people at the funeral were Mrs. Ann Kalous and daughter, Janice, Chicago; Mrs. George Gregorich, Zwingle, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Nick Babich and daughter, Donna Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Singer, and Misses Mildred and Helen Parkel, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Dick Castner, Cadott; Frank Zupanc, Port Edwards; and Mr. and Mrs. Lucas Deronovsek, Sheldon.
