Auman, Frank Sr. (7 JUL 1885 - 7 OCT 1949)

Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) - Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Willard for Frank Auman Sr., 64, Willard, who died Oct. 7, 1949 at 9:10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. The S.N.P.J. Lodge No. 735 was in charge of the rites and interment took place in the Willard National Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Anton Furlon, Blaze Kuzniac, Lawrence Cellar, Jack Deitchman, Louis Zorman and Albert Musial.

Mr. Auman was born in Yugoslavia July 7, 1885, received his education there, and came to the United States in 1905. He spent most of his life on a farm at Willard and retired in 1947, moving to the village of Willard, where he resided until his death.

Surviving besides his widow are eight children, Frank and Felix, both of Willard; Victor, Greenwood; Ann, Hollywood, Calif.; Mrs. John (Antonia) Panyan, Duluth, Minn.; Mrs. John (Angeline) Verhunce, Greenwood; Mrs. Veron (Mary) Dergance, Chicago; and Mrs. Ignac (Stephie), Gaborivc, Willard. Two brothers, John, Willard, and Mike, Butte, Mont., and 15 grandchildren also survive.

Out of town persons at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Burger, Duluth, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. John Panyan, Duluth, Minn.; and Mrs. Mary Pintar, Mr. and Mrs. Veron Dergance, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Morris, and Joseph Tomac, all of Chicago.

Frank Burger was my grandfather who lived in Gary, East Duluth. He ran a grocery store there with his father that was located on the main strip.
