Irvine, Emma (26 JUL 1879 - 8 JUL 1950)

Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) - Mrs. Dave Irvine, 70, Greenwood, died unexpectedly at 9:45 a.m. Saturday (Jul 8, 1950) at her home. She had been in a coma since Friday morning, when she suffered a stroke. Saturday morning she had another stroke, which was the cause of her death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the West Side Evangelical and Reformed Church, Greenwood, with the Rev. J.C. Klingeberger officiating. Burial will be made in the Beaver Cemetery.

The body is reposing at the Stabnow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Irvine, the former Emma Melius, was born July 26, 1879, in the Town of Scott, Sheboygan Co. In 1907 she came to Clark County with her mother and sister, settling on a farm between Greenwood and Loyal. Her marriage to dave Irvine took place May 30, 1908, at Loyal.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, Walter, Eau Claire; and Quinton, Greenwood; a stepdaughter, Mrs. James Bart, Manitowish Waters; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Fred Melius, Adell; and William and Ed Melius, South Dakota; and one sister, Mrs. John Boeheim, Waukesha.

Four sisters and two brother preceded her in death.
