Givney, Cleo R. (22 SEP 1945)

Cleo R. Givney, formerly of Menomonie, and recently granted a discharge from the WAC, became the bride of Roland G. Loos, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), in a nuptial service read in the Methodist Church at Eau Claire Sept. 22, 1945, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Henry Friedman officiated.

Attendants were Miss Marlys Richert, Monroe, and Lt. Donald Richert, now home on leave, niece and nephew of the bride.

For the occasion the bride wore a rose beige suit with blue accessories and a corsage of white flowers. Miss Richert chose a light green suit with matching accessories and her shoulder spray was composed of pink flowers.

Following their return from a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin the couple will be at home to friends at Abbotsford, where Mr. Loos is employed as an electrician by the Hutt Electrical Co.

Mrs. Loos was given a discharge from Army service Aug. 22, 1945, after serving in the WAC for 23 months at Camp Van Dorn, Miss., and Camp Buttner, N.C.

Mr. Loos, a chief electrician’s mate with the Navy Seabees, received his honorable discharge from service June 22, after serving overseas in New Caledonia, Guadalcanal, and Leyte since May 1943. He left the Philippines for the States in May 1945. Prior to this entering the Seabees in September 1942, he owned and operated an electrical shop in Greenwood.
