Corey, Mrs. Charles (14 DEC 1864 - 4 FEB 1939)

Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) - Funeral services for Mrs. Charles A. Corey, 74, who died Feb. 4, 1939 at her home in Loyal (Clark Co.), were conducted at 2 o’clock at the Corey home by Rev. Mr. Ortmeyer, pastor of St. Katherine’s Episcopal Church in Owen, Wis.

Interment was made in the family lot and the burial rites were conducted by the Rev. Harry Pallet of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Watertown.

Mrs. Corey was born in Watertown Dec. 14, 1864. She was married there Oct. 19, 1884? To Charles A. Corey. Twenty-three years ago Mr. and Mrs. Corey moved to a farm southwest of Loyal, where they had since made their home.

Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Mervin Corey, Winchester, and Howard Corey, Greenwood; and five daughters, Mrs. August (Edith) Lemberg, Loyal; Mrs. Chal (Alice) Perkins, Greenwood; Mrs. Arthur (Sadie) Jacobsen, Sioux City, Iowa; Mrs. Live Bennett, Loyal; and Miss Florence Corey, who resides at home.

There are also four grandchildren.
