Hale, Elsie M.M. (2 MAY 1895 - 2 DEC 1943)

Mrs. Charles Hale, 48, who had been in poor health for some time, died at 11 o’clock Thursday morning at her home 6 ½ miles southwest of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.).

Mrs. Hale, the former Elsie Marth Minna Freiberg, daughter of John & Henrietta (Rosenthal) Freiberg, was born May 2, 1895, at Fond du Lac, and was married there to Charles Hale May 16, 1916.

Eleven years ago the Hales moved to the Janesville district in the Town of Eaton (Clark Co.), where they have since lived.

Surviving besides Mr. hale are five children, Elaine, Ruth, Carl, Harold, and Norman, all at home, and three brothers, Charles, John, and Otto Freiberg, all of Fond du Lac.

Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Hale home by the Rev. E.M. Fresenborg, pastor of Zion Reformed Church, and tomorrow the body will be taken to Owen enroute to Fond du Lac, where the funeral and burial rites will be conducted Sunday afternoon.
