Kicherer, Lena (1864? - 3 March 1940)

Mrs. Lena Kicherer passed away at the old people’s home in Ashland Sunday morning, March 3, at the age of 76 years.

She was born in the state of Pennsylvania and was married to Peter Gaden. They settled in the town of Lynn where they conducted a boarding house for thirteen years. In 1907 they moved to Neillsville and took over the Wasserberger hotel for one year and later purchased the Neillsville Hotel. Mr. Gaden passed away in 1910. Her marriage to Mr. Kicherer took place in 1915.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and burial took place in a Catholic Cemetery.

She leaves to mourn her death one son, William Gaden, of Neillsville and one daughter, (Clara) Mrs. Ernest Rouleau of Duluth. She also leaves seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
