Deutsch, Bernice (Marriage - 20 Feb. 1940)

Miss Beatrice Deutsch, Black River Falls, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Deutsch of Neillsville, and Norman Larkin, also of Black River Falls, were united in marriage at the Lutheran parsonage at Waukon, Iowa, February 20, Rev. Hjortland performing the single-ring ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Phillip J. Monsos of Black River Falls, and Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Woelffer, La Crosse, were the witnesses. The couple left on an extended honeymoon trip to Mexico, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Homstead.

Miss Deutsch grew to young womanhood here. She was graduated from Neillsville High School in 1932. Since then she has worked in the soil conservation service in Neillsville and for the past three and one-half years at Black River Falls where she has been most proficient in her work. Her home training during the formative years fitted her as well for the household over which she will preside.

Mr. Larkin was graduated from the Black River Falls high school. He is associated with his father on the hardware business in that city, where the couple will be at home.
