Lois I. Anderson

Lois I. Anderson, 80, Abbotsford, died Monday November 20, 2006, at her home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby. Burial was in Colby Memorial Cemetery. Reverend Mark Neumann presided. Pallbearers were Tony Mader, John Miller, Jeremiah Miller, Jacob Miller, Harold Amacher and Dave Malone.

Visitation was from 10:00 a.m. until time of serviced at the church.

Maurina-Community Funeral Home assisted the family.

Lois was born April 25, 1926, to Edward and Alma (Laack) Stock.

She and Ray Anderson were married April 10, 1947, at Zion Lutheran Church. Ray died May 4, 2006.

Lois worked as a stenographer for the Wausau Police Department and then farmed in the Town of Colby from 1950-1965. She also worked as a secretary for Stock-Anderson Insurance Agency from 1960-1988 and served as the church secretary for many years.

She was also the assistant director for the C.U.P. Food Pantry and a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She served on many church boards.

Lois enjoyed bowling and held many league offices, cross country skiing, playing cards, gardening, raising registered collies, bird watching, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Lois is survived by one daughter, Paula (Larry) Mader of Abbotsford; one son, Neal Anderson of Wausau; two grandchildren, Angela (John) Miller of Dorchester and Anthony (Melanie) Mader of Elmwood; and three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Miller, Jacob Miller and Tyrone Mader.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray; and one brother, Warren Stock.
