Luck, Dorothy (10 MAR 1941)

Under the canopy of white bells and streamers of white and blue, the double ring ceremony uniting Miss Dorothy Luck of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Robert Preller of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) was performed at 11 o’clock Monday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Balow of Curtiss, Wis. The Bride is the daughter of Mrs. Charles Luck of Brooklyn and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Preller of Abbotsford, Wis. The Rev. E.G. Pfeiffer of Greenwood read the rites.

Royal blue velvet with navy accessories and a blush veil with a bandeau of sweet peas were worn by the bride. Her shoulder corsage was fashioned of white sweet peas. Miss Edna Preller of Milwaukee, sister of the groom, attended as maid of honor in a rose silk crepe dress with black accessories and a shoulder corsage of carnations.

Miss Lillian Johnson of Owen, the bride’s other attendant, was attired in a navy blue silk ensemble with black accessories and a shoulder corsage. Frank Bauer of Milwaukee was best man, and Elmer Jensen of Dorchester was groomsman.

Misses Violet Johnson and Lois Blum sang "I Love You Truly" and "At Dawning," with organ accompaniment by Miss Dorothy Marking, who also played the wedding march.

A wedding reception and dinner were held at the Dwight Balow home following the ceremony. Friends from away who attended were Miss Erna Preller and Frank Bauer, Milwaukee; Miss Mary Redman, Waukegan, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kind and family, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Franz, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kuester, Raymond Rasmussen, Mrs. Rose Haase, Calvin Gordee, all of Greenwood; Misses Harriet and Maxine Harms, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Reigel, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schafer, Mrs. Blum and family, all of Owen, Wis.

The couple will reside on the Preller farm in the Town of Warner (Clark Co.).
