Klein, Inez (30 NOV 1937)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized at a candle light ceremony, performed by Rev. R. L. Fleming, when Inez Klein, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil R. Klein, town of Beaver, became the bride of Charles W. Rankin of Loyal, son of Mrs. Philip Amuck of Plevna, Mont. in the presence of a few close relatives and friends, at the home of the bride’s parents, which was beautifully decorated in blue and white, at 6 o’clock Tuesday P. M., Nov. 30th.

The date and hour being chosen to commemoration of the 23rd wedding anniversary of the bride’s parents.

"Oh Promise Me" was sung by Miss Kathryn Rossman accompanied by Mrs. Beatrice Wanner, aunt of the bridegroom who also played the march, "Bridal Roses." The bride wore a floor length dress of blue velvet with gold accessories and carried a bouquet of yellow mums. The bride’s attendant, Miss Marie Klein of Waukesha, a cousin, wore a floor length dress of wine velvet with a shoulder corsage of white rose buds and yellow mums.

The groom was attended by Mr. Franklin Farrell of Sussex, Wis. both wearing conventional black with white boutonnieres.

Following the ceremony a wedding supper was served to twenty-two guests. A beautiful three-tiered bride’s cake, baked by her aunt, Mrs. Frank A. Yench, served as a centerpiece for the table.

After the supper the couple left for a short honeymoon to the Twin Cities.

The bride and groom are well known in this community and have many friends who wish them much happiness. Among the pleasant surprises was a telegram of congratulations sent by their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas McPherson of Litchfield, Ill.

The bride has lived all her single life on her father’s farm.

The groom, at the death of his father, when a small boy vame to live with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Wanner who have reared him as their son. The only shadow on the groom’s happiness was the sorrow that his beloved "Uncle Mike" could not be present at his marriage. Mr. Wanner passed away a year ago.

Guests from away were Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Klein of Waukesha.

The young couple will reside with Mrs. Beatrice Wanner for the winter months.

May God bless them with happiness.

A new life together

Your hand in mine

Our love to bind us closer

With the passage of time. A friend.
