Bragstad, Ole & Oline (Silver - 5 NOV 1911)
Mr. and Mrs. Ole Bragstad celebrated their silver wedding anniversary Sunday, Nov. 5th, 1911, at their home northeast of the city. About 200 guests were present to help them celebrate the event appropriately. Mr. Ole Peterson gave a fine address in the presence of the assemble guests paying a tribute to Mr. and Mrs. Bragstad.
The guests present Mr. and Mrs. Bragstad with many beautiful presents of silverware and silver coins as a testimony of the esteem their friends have for them.
The afternoon was spent in visiting and was enlivened with music by Miss Julia Sorenson.
Later Mr. Gullord appeared on the scene with his camera and took some pictures which will be highly prized in later years as mementos of the happy occasion.
The guests departed for their homes after the festivities of the day, wishing Mr. and Mrs. Bragstad many happy years and a similar good time on their golden wedding day.
Mr. and Mrs. Bragstad have lived in this vicinity for the past twenty-two years, having come from Norway in June 1889.
