Mesar, Margaret (Marriage - 18 June 1939)

Miss Margaret Mesar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mesar, Sr., of Granton, and Wilbert Goebel of Granton, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Goebel of Milwaukee were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. June 18, by Rev. J. G. Buth of Grant Township, who performed the double-ring ceremony, at the parsonage.

The bride wore a navy blue suit with a white blouse and a corsage of American Beauty roses, sweet peas and daisies. The bridesmaid, Miss Verna Goebel, Granton, cousin of the groom, wore a gown of navy blue crepe Romaine, with pink lace, pink gladioli and sweet peas made up her corsage.

The groom wore a suit of navy blue, while the best man, Joseph Mesar, Jr., brother of the bride, wore Oxford blue, each wearing a red rose.

A dinner and reception, at the home of the bride at 6 o’clock followed the service. The couple left on a wedding trip to Chicago and Harco, Ill. They will make their home at Granton, the groom being employed in the Marg garage as a mechanic.

Out-of-town guests at the wedding were: Mrs. John Goebel, Mr. and Mrs. William Mortag and family and Mr. and Mrs. William Graeser, all of Milwaukee.
