Mr. Logee's obituary

Dear Logee Family,

My name is Barbara Hirsch Stevenson. Mr. Logee was my band and chorus teacher in Thorp, Wis. from around 1958 to 1960 when I graduated and moved out of Thorp. Since that time I have been involved with choral singing (I also played the clarinet too) off and on. I had the opportunity to sing with world famous conductors including Robert Shaw. This would not have been possible without Mr. Logee's instruction of choral singing. Now in my "golden years" I live in Del Webb's Sun City Anthem outside Las Vegas. I have lived in Las Vegas since 1961. Anyway, we have a choral group here and our next concert includes "Deep Purple." I never hear this song that I don't think of Mr. Logee. He wrote an arrangement for our triple trio that was fabulous. I wanted to see if he still had a copy. In my research I found that sadly he had passed away. I must tell you he was an inspiration to me, my most favorite teacher. I'm sure you miss him deeply. He made a significant contribution to the world in his quiet way and I will never forget him.

Best wishes...

Barbara Stevenson
