Alger, Linda C. (October 14, 1946 - November 8, 2004)

Linda C. Alger, age 58, of Eau Claire, formerly of Thorp, died at Sacred Heart Hospital, in Eau Claire, on Monday, November 8, 2004.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2004 at the Thorp Funeral Home Chapel. Fr. Donald Wilger will officiate and burial will follow in Old St. Hedwig’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2004, at Thorp Funeral Home, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a 7:30 Rosary service.

Linda Carol Schultz was born on October 14, 1946, in Rockford, IL, to Anthony F. and Linda (Mullenbach) Schultz. As a young girl, Linda and her family moved to Thorp, where she received her education, graduating from Thorp High School in 1964. After graduation, she worked at the Thorp Finance Corporation and waitressed at the Silver Dollar Restaurant. She was united in marriage to Larry G. Alger on May 12, 1975 in Eau Claire, WI.

The couple lived in Eau Claire, where Linda worked for Wipfli-Ulrich-Bertelson, LLP as a data entry clerk in the accounting department, In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, fishing, and bowling.

She is survived by her husband, Larry, of Eau Claire; two sons: Todd and Jay, both of Eau Claire; one sister; Toni Ann (Larry) Luzinski of Thorp; her mother-in-law, Wilma Alger of Thorp; one brother-in-law, Allen (Joyce) Alger of Thorp; one niece, Kellie Luzinski; four nephews, Mike and Dan Luzinski, Jacob and Dennis Alger; two great nieces, Cora and Brynn Luzinski; and one great nephew, Wyatt Luzinski. She was preceded in death by her parents.
