Stowe, Clara (14 MAY 1937)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized at West Beaver Chapel Friday, May 14, 1937 when Miss Clara Stowe, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Stowe was united in marriage to Harley Vine, youngest son of Mrs. Elizabeth Vine.

The bride was attired in a beautiful white satin gown floor length, and a veil. The bride’s maid, Miss Marjorie Stowe, wore a floor length gown of salmon pink watered taffeta and both girls wore shoulder bouquets.

The groom wore navy blue and the best man, Mr. Francis Herr, wore black.

Rev. C. R. Gaylord tied the nuptial knot and Miss Lila Dunn played the organ. The Chapel was decorated in White, pink. And blue crepe paper; and was well filled with relatives, friends and neighbors who came to witness the ceremony which took place at 2 o’clock. From the Chapel about thirty went to the Stowe home and partook of the wedding dinner.

Mrs. Herr and Mrs. Dunn were cooks and girl friends of the bride were table waitresses.

Mr. Ben Vine and Miss Laverne Noah of Brodhead were guests from away who attended both the wedding and reception.

All the neighbors and friends unite in wishing for Mr. and Mrs. Vine a long and happy wedded life.

West Beaver Cor.
