Christie, Adam J. (19 OCT 1985 - 6 AUG 2006)

Adam J. Christie, 20, greenwood, died on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Visitation will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood, on Wednesday, Aug. 9, from 4-8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service, and again on Thursday, Aug. 10 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. The Rev. Joseph Follmar will officiate and burial will take place at a later date in the parish cemetery. Pall bearers will be Curt Tuttle, Luke Holm, Josh Kelly, Dave Seefeldt, Henry Landwehr, Alex Landwehr, Joe Brummeyer and Chad Leichtman. Honorary pall bearers are Rick McFarlane, Ryan Susa, and Dan Boushon.

Adam John Christie, son of Hugh and Joan (nee Bushman) Christie, was born on Oct. 19, 1985, in Marshfield. He was raised in Greenwood and received his education at St Mary’s Parochial School, Greenwood, and in the Greenwood School District. He worked as a cook at the Pit Stop Café, Loyal, until its closing, and then as a bartender and cook at Dale’s North Mound Tavern, Willard. His lifelong dream was to be a chef. At the time of his death, he worked at Stainless Concepts, Withee, as a stainless steel welder. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and had many interests, but especially loved cooking, fishing, hunting, music, playing guitar, and computers.

He will be sadly missed by his parents, Hugh and Joan Christie, Greenwood; one sister, Angela Christie, Marshfield; one nephew, Ben Tuttle, Marshfield; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Bushman, Greenwood; his paternal grandmother, Gwen Christie, Greenwood; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceding him in death were his maternal grandfather, Aloysius Bushman; his paternal grandfather, Arthur Christie; one uncle, Lyle Christie.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, is assisting the family with arrangements.
