John J. Annen

John J. Annen, 71, of Marshfield died unexpectedly Tuesday Aug., 29, 2006, at Saint Joseph's Hospital.

Private family services will be held.

Hansen Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Annen was born April 5, 1935, in Dodgeville, the son of William and Florence (Pink) Annen. He attended Loyal Elementary and High School. Following his education John served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Annen was employed in St. Paul, Minn., as a semi-driver for the Murphy Motor Freight Company. He later worked for the DNR home office in their security department.

In 1995, following his retirement, John moved to Marshfield.

John was a member of the NRA, an avid hunter and fisherman. He also spent many hours helping the sportsman's club at the shooting range.

He is lovingly survived by his siblings, Mary Ann (Elroy) Tapper, Wausau, Thomas (Caroline) Annen, Crystal Lake, Ill., and Deborah (Wayne) Witt, Marshfield.
