Gray, Judith "Judy" M. (April 27, 1941 - August 2, 2006)

Judith M. "Judy" Gray, age 65, of Taylor and formerly of Mauston died Wednesday, August 2, 2006, in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Judy was born in Boscobel April 27, 1941, to Matt H. and Phyllis (Yunek) Rice. She was raised in Wisconsin and lived in Mauston before moving to Taylor.

She worked as a cook.

Surviving are five sons, Timothy (Sally) Waterman and Roger Hale, both of Taylor, Kevin (Barbie) Hale and Scott (Sherry) Hale, both of Neillsville and Brian Hale, Illinois; three daughters, Denise (Randy) Becker, Marion, Terri Hale, Sparta, and Tammy Mohr, Mauston; two sisters, JoAnn (Warren) Bottlemy, Greenwood, and Jean Rice, Illinois; 17 grand-children; five great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Jeanie Rice, Harvard, IL, Barbara Rice, Woodstock, IL, and Elsie Rice, LeHigh Acres, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.

Memorial funeral services for Judith M. "Judy" Gray were held Saturday, August 5, at noon from Torgerson’s Funeral Home (715-284-4321), Black River Falls. Relatives and friends called at the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of services.

** Notes -- Judy was married to Elwood Dayton Hale. I know that some of their children grow up in Neillsville and still live their today. Barbie & Sherry Hale are my cousins; their maiden name being McDonald.
