Haff, Mrs. Joseph (? - 21 May 1938)

Mrs. George (Ida) Frey of the town of Weston, received word last week that the wife (Mary Ida Geisenhof Haff) of her son, Joseph, passed away May 21, at her home at Taunton, Mass. Mr. Frey, who has been in a hospital since February came home the following day, 5 sons also survive to mourn the loss of their mother.

Mrs. Geo. Frey (Frei), though well along in years, left Tuesday for Taunton to remain for a time in the home of her son.

Joe is well known in Neillsville having grown to young manhood here. He worked for a time in the office of L. B. Ring, publisher and printer.

*Joseph Haff was born 17 May, 1888 in Chicago, Illinois and died 13 Sep 1950 in Newport Naveal Hospital, Newport, Rhode Island.  He is buried in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton, Bristol Co., Mass.  He was the son of Paul Franz Haff and Ida Geisenhof.  Joseph married Mary Ida Lima who was born 1897 in Azores Islands, Sao Migeul Island, Portugual.  Joseph and Mary had 4 children, George Paul (b. 24 July 1921 in Taunton, MA), Joseph Herman Jr. (b. 23 Feb 1924 in Taunton, MA), Charles Clarence (b. 12 Sep 1918 in Taunton, MA), James Delbert Haff (b. 1935 & married Grace Isabel Barse)
