Salter, Ruby F. (12 OCT 1899 - 6 JUL 1984)

Mrs. Arthur (Ruby F.) Salter, 84, of 906 S. Cherry Ave., died at 11:05 a.m. Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she was admitted Saturday.

Private services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Hansen Funeral Home. The Rev. John F. Wreford of Wesley United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.

The former Ruby Misner was born Oct. 12, 1899 in Illinois, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jay (Minnie Margaret) Misner. She was educated in Illinois and Wisconsin schools, and in 1919 in Colby (Clark Co., Wis.) was married to Arthur Salter. He died April 29, 1961.

They farmed in Unity for 27 years and in 1946 moved to Marshfield. She had lived here since. She was employed by the Fair Store and Rex Baxter Fashions, where she was a seamstress for many years.

A member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Mrs. Salter is survived by a son, Wayne of Wautoma, four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Albert (Hazel) Hill of Chicago.

She was also predeceased by a brother.

Memorials may be given to Wesley United Methodist Church, the American heart Association, or the American Cancer Society.
