Ackerman, William Fredrick (8 June 1871 - 19 March 1938)

William Fredrick Ackerman of this city passed suddenly Saturday, March 19, 1938, at 4:30 p.m. of a heart attack at the age of 66 years, 9 months and 11 days.

He was born at Glen Haven, Wisconsin, June 8, 1871, to Jacob and Mary Ackerman. He had been a resident of Clark County for 16 years.

For several years, due to a heart condition, Mr. Ackerman had not been very active, although he was a familiar figure on our streets and in the business places where he was seen almost daily, greeting his many friends and acquaintances with a happy smile.

On Nov. 24, 1898 he was united in marriage with Mabel M. Kidd of Prairie du Chein. He is survived by his wife and son and a grandson, and was preceded in death his parents, 5 brothers and two sisters.

A short funeral services was held here Tuesday at the Schiller funeral home at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) followed by the final rites and burial at Glen Haven Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. E. P. Stone of the M. E. church was the officiating clergyman at the Neillsville service.
