Kuentz, Ella (27 OCT 1915)

The marriage of Miss Ella Kuentz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Kuentz, to Fred H. Schwierske, also of this city, was solemnized at Zion’s Lutheran Church at 10 o’clock, Wednesday morning, Rev. C.C. Hartenstein officiating.

The were supported in the service by Selma Schwierske, sister of the groom, and Frank Burchert, both of Phillips, Wis., and by Anna Baumgart of this city, and Carl Kollermeier of Portland, Ore. The bride’s gown was of white crepe meteor and she wore a white lace veil, which had been the wedding veil of her mother. The bridesmaids were dressed in pink and white.

Attendants at the wedding dinner, served at the bride’s home, was limited to near relatives and intimate friends.

The young couple left for Phillips in the afternoon, where they will visit at the Karl Mess home, going from there to visit other relatives at Winter, Wis. Upon returning to Colby, they will be at home to their many friends in the cozy upper rooms which they have furnished in the Kuentz residence.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Schwierske have won the friendship of our Colby people who join us in extending wishes for success and happiness.
