About thirty-five helped E.M. Rowe, our merchant, eat turkey on Thanksgiving Day, and report having had a splendid time. Mrs. Rowe knows just how to cook turkey.

About four o’clock p.m. last Thursday, the house of J.J. Rowe, Jr., which was occupied by W.F. Bolton, was discovered to be on fire. The family was absent at the time, and before anyone got there, the fire had got such head way that they could not save a thing. They lost everything but what they had on. The insurance had run out about two weeks before. Mr. Bolton had his goods insured in the Lynn Insurance Company for $240.
