School closed in District No. 8, Monday, the 24th. Had a good exhibition in the evening, the house was crowded. Miss Bertha Hallock, of the Windfall, was the teacher. She is to teach the winter term.

Hattie Warner, daughter of W.W. Warner, has been quite sick with lung fever. Dr. Lyman was called, and she is getting better.

October 26th, a girl baby was born to Mr. and Mrs. Will Windsor, and Will is happy.

Will Farland started his mill this week, cutting shingles to cover his mill over in West Weston. He is fixing for a big winter’s work.

The oyster supper Friday evening was well attended. Some of the Neillsville Lodge helped to eat the oysters.

Mr. Ed Phalen started for Sheboygan the 31st.

Will Rowe has got his kitchen about enclosed.

D. Davidson and C.H. Benedict have gone to Loyal to work on the railroad.

Mr. Carlos Young, now of Loyal, was a caller at the Center today, hunting for a plasterer.
