Ralph E. Scholtz was born and died on the 4th of September, 1920. It was said his unfortunate death was caused from an extremely long pregnancy of 9 1/2 mo. which ended abruptly when his arm protruded from his mother's womb. He was named for his father, Ralph E. Scholtz, a Wisconsin native who served in World War I-Cpl., Co. C, 132nd Infantry. His mother was Clara Gall of Iowa. His parents had married August 8, 1917. This infant was buried in the Sherwood Cemetery, Sherwood Township, Clark Co., Wisconsin in an unmarked grave.
