Hertz, William (3 APR 1895 - 2 AUG 1916)

William Hertz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hertz, died at the home of his parents in the town of Colby (Clark Co., Wis.), at 9 o’clock Wednesday morning, Aug. 3rd, 1916, of double pneumonia, after an illness of four weeks, aged 21 years, 3 months and 29 days.

Willie Hertz, as he was familiarly called by his young friends, was born on the farm where he died, April 3rd, 1895, and remained home helping with the farm work. Although not as strong and healthy as most boys of his age, he was a very industrious young man and highly respected by all who knew him.

The funeral will be held from Zion Lutheran Church, Saturday afternoon, Rev. C.C. Hartenstein officiating.
